Privacy Policy

Tinca is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal data and your robot communications stay on your network.

We do not collect, store, or transmit: your robot data or telemetry, video feeds, control commands, robot IP addresses, network topology, topic names, your dashboard layouts, or the values you enter into widget configurations. All of this stays on your device and your local network.

With analytics enabled, Tinca records anonymous, aggregated usage events to understand which features people use and decide what to build next. These events capture things like which widget types you add and use, which configuration fields you change (never their values), whether you use light or dark mode, which connection protocol you use, screen orientation, and counts of events such as dashboards created or widgets that crash. Every event is tied to a random identifier, not to your name, email, or any account, and never includes your robot data, topic names, configuration values, IP address, or location. Analytics are processed by PostHog on servers in the European Union, and are only ever transmitted while you are not connected to a robot, so collection never competes with live operation. Analytics are on by default; you can turn them off at any time in Settings, under Privacy, and you can request deletion of data already collected from About & Legal. We rely on our legitimate interest in improving the App as the legal basis under the GDPR.

In-app purchase transactions are handled entirely by the platform store (Google Play or Apple App Store) and our payment processor (RevenueCat). We receive a purchase receipt to unlock features but do not process or store payment information.

The App stores your preferences (theme, connection profiles, dashboard layouts) locally on your device using standard platform storage. This data is not synced to any external server.

The App integrates with: RevenueCat (in-app purchase validation) and PostHog (anonymous usage analytics, hosted in the European Union). Each service has its own privacy policy. No robot data, configuration values, or location data is shared with these services.

You can turn off analytics collection at any time in Settings, under Privacy, and you can request deletion of data already collected from About & Legal. You can delete all locally stored App data by clearing the App data through your device settings or by uninstalling the App. Since we do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on our servers, there is no account deletion process needed.

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App.
