Request data deletion
How to request deletion of any data Tinca holds about you. We collect two minimal data categories on our side: anonymous purchase data via RevenueCat, and anonymous usage analytics via PostHog (hosted in the European Union). Everything else stays on your device.

What data we collect
Tinca collects only what it needs, in two narrow categories:
- Purchase data via RevenueCat: an anonymous app user ID generated by RevenueCat, plus the transaction receipt when you buy Tinca Pro. We use this only to validate your purchase across reinstalls.
- Anonymous usage analytics via PostHog (hosted in the European Union): aggregated events tied to a random identifier, not to your name, email, or any account. We capture things like which widget types you use and which connection protocol you pick. We never capture robot data, topic names, configuration values, IP address, or location. Events are transmitted only while you are not connected to a robot. Analytics are on by default; you can turn them off any time in Settings, under Privacy.
Both categories share a single anonymous identifier (the RevenueCat app-user ID), which is why one request can cover both.
Everything else stays local. Your dashboards, robot connections, and app configuration are stored on your device only.
How to request deletion
The fastest way is from the app itself:
- In Tinca, open Settings, then About & Legal.
- Tap Request data deletion. The app opens a pre-filled email containing your anonymous ID.
- Send the email. We delete both your analytics events (PostHog) and your purchase records (RevenueCat) under that ID, and confirm by reply.
Opt-out is a separate thing. Turning analytics off in Settings, under Privacy, stops new collection. A deletion request erases what we already have. Use both if you want both effects.
If you can't open the app
If you no longer have access to the app (phone lost, app uninstalled), you can still email us to request deletion of your purchase records:
- Email support@aurilabs.tech.
- Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request - Tinca.
- Include the email address associated with your Google Play account, or a screenshot of your Tinca Pro purchase receipt. That lets us locate and delete your RevenueCat purchase records.
Analytics events are keyed only to the in-app anonymous ID, so we can only delete those when the ID is sent from the app. The events themselves carry no personal data either way.
We process the request within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What gets deleted
On request, the following are permanently deleted:
- Your anonymous RevenueCat app user ID and the associated purchase receipts.
- Every PostHog analytics event keyed to the Analytics ID you provide.
What is retained
Tinca holds no other data on our side. We do not maintain user accounts, profiles, or stored preferences on our servers. Anything local to your device is unaffected by these requests; uninstall the App or clear App data through your device settings to delete that.
Note on Google Play purchases
Google Play retains transaction records independently of Tinca. To request deletion of those records, please contact Google Play Support directly. We are not able to delete data held by Google.
