Full notes
Controls
- A cancelled touch, such as a scroll or a system swipe, sends nothing. Custom Button, Toggle Switch and the D-Pad in tap mode act when you lift your finger.
- D-Pad: two fingers drive two directions, blended into one command. A held D-Pad stops when the connection drops and waits for a fresh touch.
- Toggle Switch can show the robot's own report, marked pending until the robot confirms.
- Number fields have real limits and refuse values they cannot read, like "1,000", instead of guessing. A Time Series window typed as a negative number no longer freezes the app.
Joint Sliders
- Every joint is sent on each move, in the units the controller expects.
- Auto-detect takes its joints from the arm controller, so a joint another controller drives, such as a gripper, no longer makes every move fail. It names the joints it left out, and tells you when the arm controller you chose is not answering.
- A joint your robot has not reported turns amber instead of borrowing an angle.
Robot connection
- On Foxglove bridges, a service call or action goal with a missing or mismatched field is caught before it is sent, instead of going out as default values.
- Large maps over rosbridge now load.
- Action Client: goal timers survive swiping between dashboards, so a goal no longer sticks on "Canceling".
- Parameter Editor writes the value you typed and refuses one it cannot read.
Safety
- After E-Stop, or after leaving the app, a running goal shows "Cancel sent" instead of "Stopped", and tells you to use your robot's hardware E-stop if it is still moving. The app cannot confirm the robot stopped, so it no longer says so.
